This policy explains what data the TrazorNotes app (Android and Windows) handles and why. The principle is simple: your notebooks are yours, and we never move them off your device. The only data we handle is the minimum needed to run the Premium license.

- Your notes, drawings, PDFs and images are stored on your device or in a folder you choose. We do not upload them to any server of ours.
- There are no user accounts and no passwords.
- We show no ads, use no analytics or tracking tools, and do not sell or share data for commercial purposes.
- Only if you activate a Premium license do we handle your email address and purchase details, so we can issue and validate your license.
3. Your notebooks and files
Everything you create in TrazorNotes is stored as local files on your device. That includes notebooks, whiteboards, annotations, images, stickers, templates and settings.
You may save or open notebooks from a cloud storage service (for example Google Drive or OneDrive) through the system file picker. When you do, the transfer is performed by the operating system and that service's app, not by us. TrazorNotes never receives your credentials for those services and cannot access any files you did not pick. Those services handle your files under their own privacy policies.
On Android, automatic system backup is disabled for the app, so we do not send your notebooks to Google backups.
4. Premium license
TrazorNotes is free with limited features. A Premium purchase works on both Android and Windows. To make that possible, when you activate your license we handle:

Our server then issues a digitally signed license certificate, which is stored on your device. The app checks it offline, so everyday use of the app sends nothing to our server.
Payments. Payments are processed by Google Play or the Microsoft Store. We never receive or store your card or payment details. Those stores handle your data under their own policies.
5. Integrity check (Android)
When you activate a license on Android, the app may use Google's Play Integrity API to confirm that it is the original app installed from Google Play, running on a genuine device. Google produces a verdict with technical information about the app and device. Our server uses it only to validate the activation. Google's privacy policy also applies to this processing.
6. Handwriting recognition
The "Convert to text" feature recognizes your handwriting on your device:
- Android: uses Google ML Kit (digital ink recognition). The first time, it downloads the language model from Google's servers. Recognition then runs locally, and your handwriting is not sent to Google. ML Kit may send Google limited technical information (such as device and performance data) to maintain and improve the service.
- Windows: uses the handwriting recognition built into Windows, which runs on your computer.
7. Permissions
- Internet and network state: download the recognition model, handle purchases and activate the license.
- Google Play Billing: make in-app purchases.
The app does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or your photos and files in general. It only accesses the files you pick with the system picker.
Links you tap inside your notebooks or PDFs open in your browser after you confirm. From then on, the visited site's policy applies.
8. Who we share data with
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. The only parties involved are:
- Google and Microsoft, to process purchases and verify purchases and integrity.
- The infrastructure providers that host our license server and send activation emails. They act on our behalf and only for those purposes.
- Authorities, when required by law.
These providers may be located outside your country. If so, your data is handled with the same protections described here.
9. How long we keep data
- License and purchase data: for as long as your license exists, and afterwards for as long as legal, tax or refund obligations require.
- Technical logs (IP and requests): up to 30 days.
- If you ask us to delete your data, we will. Without it, however, we can no longer restore your license on other devices.
10. Security
Communication with our server is encrypted (HTTPS). License certificates are digitally signed so they cannot be forged. Access to server data is restricted. No system is infallible, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
11. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete your data, or object to its processing. You also have any other rights granted by the law of your country (for example portability or restriction of processing). Email from the address linked to your license. We reply within 20 business days.
12. Children
TrazorNotes is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under that age. If you believe a child has given us their email, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with its update date. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
